Anime Central would like to thank all 23,138 people for attending this past year’s event, and would like to welcome you all to our 2012 event season. We’ve got a lot of new things in store for our 15th anniversary so stay tuned for all the details.
Announcement: Hyatt Room Block Opening!
The Hyatt room block opens at 8:00 AM on August 1st.
Single Occupancy: $ 175.00
Double Occupancy: $ 175.00
Triple Occupancy: $ 175.00
Quadruple Occupancy: $ 175.00
All suites during the 2012 convention will be available at fifty percent (50%) off the 2012 rack rates.
The special convention rate will apply two days before and after the official dates of the convention.
All reservations must be made individually through the Hotel’s Reservation Department by calling (847) 696-1234 or (800) 233-1234. A web reservation link will be made available after the block opening date.
Parking $17.00 per day.
VWE Tesla II BattleTech: Firestorm cockpits come home again for Anime Central 2012!
For its 4th consecutive year, MechJock.Com will be bringing the critically acclaimed Virtual World Entertainment Tesla II BattleTech: Firestorm cockpits to ACen at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois April 27th through the 29th.
These are the exact Tesla II cockpits that operated in the original BattleTech Center at the North Pier Mall and later at the Gold Coast Dave & Buster’s. The Tesla II cockpits, featuring the BattleTech: Firestorm software, are fully enclosed military style simulators that feature 7 screens, over 90 control systems, and a 12 speaker surround sound system. When seated in the cockpit or ‘pod’, the player will pilot his or her own walking tank known as a BattleMech onto the virtual landscape to compete for battlefield superiority with those seated in surrounding cockpits. BattleTech missions will launch from the United AB room on the entry level of the Hyatt, so be sure to stop by!
