This is Pre-show of Japan Day. The actual Japan Day Cosplay is July 18th.

To kick off the Cosplay Party at Japan Day, we will host Cosplay Pre Show Party at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights on 6/28 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm! Come in with your best cosplay costumes on, and register for the Japan Day Cosplay Contest! There will be prizes and snacks as well as J-pop music DJ. We will even march through Mitsuwa in style!

With hit songs like Snow fairy and ft., FUNKIST is coming to Chicago! Their appearance at Japan Day 2015 will be at its “J-Entertainment” event on July 18 between 5pm and 8pm at Arlington Heights International Racecourse. They are also scheduled to play in front of huge crowd at Winner’s Circle at around 4pm. More details about their appearance will be announced here soon! Please sit tight!

History
This event began in 1981 as a small festival at the Chicago Botanic Garden, produced by the Japanese American Association of Chicago, who merged with the Chicago Japanese Club (f.k.a. Mid America Japanese Club) in 1998. This year Japan Day is hosted by Chicago Japanese American Council.
