February 4: Oak Park and River Forest High School Japanese Fest
Chicago’s suburban Oak Park and River Forest High School is hosting a Japanese Festival on Saturday, February 4. With free admission, performances by Tsukasa Taiko and the Fujima Ryu dance troupe, and all kinds of food, games, and fun, it’s a good reason to get out of the house this Saturday, no matter what the groundhog says on Thursday.

Enjoy this afternoon immersion in Japanese culture, language and activities, featuring performances by Tsukasa Taiko and Fujima Dance Studio, as well as numerous demonstrations, interactive learning opportunities and food (available for purchase). This annual festival coincides with OPRF’s exchange program, welcoming students and faculty from a school in Nagano, Japan.
