This event began in 1981 as a small festival at the Chicago Botanic Garden, produced by the Japanese American Association of Chicago, who merged with the Chicago Japanese Club (f.k.a. Mid America Japanese Club) in 1998. This year Japan Day is hosted by Chicago Japanese American Council.
The Japanese Student Association at the University of Chicago proudly presents the 5th annual Japanese Spring Festival: Matsuri 2015!
