After the meeting this Saturday, I will be putting in process a transfer of the domain that hosts the JAPC website and forum. I am waiting to put this through until then so that we can maintain communication for Saturday’s meeting.
How long this process will take, I am unsure, but I will have to re-build the website and forums from the backups I have and hope everything works. Hopefully DreamHost will deliver on their promise of 100% up time, and we will not encounter the frequent issues that Yahoo so kindly gave us.
So, because I will not know how long this will take, and how long it will take to recover the website from the backups, I will have to assume that the site will be down for a few days starting on March 27, 2011.
I will have to let you all know when everything is up and running again via the Google Group mailing list.
I will still do the member cleanup on March 31, 2011.
Because of this transfer, the April Poll will end on FRIDAY, MARCH 25, 2011.
