Japan Festival Cancelled, Replaced With Charity Event.

According to the Japan Festival 2011 website:
“On March 11th, a massive earthquake struck the Tohoku and Kanto regions of Japan. We offer our sincere sympathies and condolences to all those who have been affected by the disaster. Due to this tragic disaster, the Mid-America Japanese Club board has decided to cancel the Japan Festival 2011. We appreciate your understanding.

In the place of the festival, the Mid America Japanese Club in Partnership with District 214 Community Education is hosting a charity event in Aid of Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 1:30 PM
