This will be a “pot luck” style BBQ where YOU bring something and we will cook it.
Here is how it worked last year:
Everyone brought something. Whether it be food, coolers, plates, napkins, pop, etc. We had a Google doc tracking what people were bringing. We had two grills going, one for veggies and one for meat. We had options for carnivores and vegetarians, and we can add a gluten free option this year!
Everyone had a blast!
We expect you to bring actual food or supplies, JUST not a bag of chips or a package of cookies. Many grocery stores have “take and go” food like potato salad, cole slaw, pasta salads, etc., this is what we are looking for. It’s not fair to the others who bring food if someone comes empty handed and expects to freeload. You will be asked to leave.
If you feel that you will not be able to bring food because of your travel on public transportation and won’t be able to keep it at a safe temperature, you can make arrangements to pay someone else to pick stuff up for you.
