The Dweebutante Ball is a social gathering for geeks and nerds, dorks and dweebs. For anyone that’s ever rolled a D20, stayed up way too late playing their favorite video games, dreamt of running off with The Doctor and lost themselves in the pages of a good book. It’s a celebration of all things nerdy and embracing our inner geeks!
The Dweebutante Ball is a collaborative effort between several geek-friendly organizations in the Chicagoland area.
Logistics and planning were done by the minds at Cantina Forward, the driving force behind many geek culture initiatives in town. Programming was designed in part by members of the Chicago Game Lovers, a 1200+ member strong group of gamers and gaming enthusiasts.
The space was generously provided by Byron Hatfield of the Public House Theatre, home of The Nerdologues and truly a geek friendly venue if ever there were one.
Special thanks go to Max Temkin, David Munk and Eli Halpern from Cards Against Humanity for their input and cooperation, likewise special thanks go to Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda from Blame Society for graciously donating their talents for the live taping of Beer & Board Games!
The Dweebutante Ball is truly a labor of love and we’re so excited to see each and every one of you there!
